Danielle (29) is still single, is still happily ensconced in Luxembourg and is still working for Nomura. As well as talking to her at least 3 times a week, we have seen her 3 times this year and will see her again over Christmas. We had our usual long weekend in Luxembourg for the RAFA Wings Weekend, and then saw her twice in France. The first time was in June when she and Pascal brought the cat and dog on their holidays! Some dog- a Landseer - it's a puppy yet its bigger than our French architect who it tried to eat! |

Our 2nd meeting in France was for my birthday which Dani had organised. She capped it off by presenting me with an engraved "Champagne Sabre" a birthday present from her and Chris. Only Danielle and Dick Shuster had ever seen one in use, so it was down to me (a former sabre fencer) to demonstrate how to open a bottle of Champagne with the sabre. I managed it on the 3rd attempt. Since then the sabre has been put to lot's of very good use as many a drunk will testify! Right - a 5'9"" English man ,with "Champagne Sabre", takes on a 6'4"Irishman with a much bigger weapon! |

Chris (26) is also single, because he claims, he is too busy for a steady girlfriend! He is still developing his business. He appears to gain more companies and business interests by the day. His empire seems to be expanding in all directions, but especially in the direction of politics - he appeared as a panelist on the BBC lunchtime politics show the other day, when the presenter Andrew Neal introduced him and one of his companies as experts in "electronic and political communications". It was news to us - but it turns out that one of his companies "Delib" does specialise in political communication - in fact he tells us he's currently involved in "Re-branding Germany"! (My forbears must be turning in their graves!) - Anyway he held his own very well in a 10 minute discussion on the merits of political texting. He was quite obviously being treated as "the expert" by both the MP's on the panel and the presenters! |
